Gadar 2 surpasses Baahubali 2, becomes 2nd highest-grossing Hindi film in India

Gadar 2, which came out in cinemas on August 11, has surpassed the success of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

New Delhi: Gadar 2, which came out in cinemas on August 11, has surpassed the success of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie has become the second highest-earning Hindi film, surpassing Baahubali 2. It is currently in second place behind Pathaan. Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 featured Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma as the main actors.

Gadar 2 box office collection

According to Sacnilk.com, the sequel of Gadar  made around ₹1.45 crore in India on its thirtieth day, based on early estimates. In its first week, the movie earned ₹284.63 crore, followed by ₹134.47 crore in the second week and ₹63.35 crore in the third week. On its fifth Friday, the film collected ₹90 lakh. Overall, the movie has earned a total of ₹512.35 crore.

Baahubali 2 (Hindi), released in 2017, made ₹510.99 crore, while Pathaan, released in January this year, earned ₹524.62 crore, both in India. Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, featured Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. Baahubali 2 starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ramya Krishna, among others.
