New Delhi: Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf is a brand-new Japanese anime series based on Yumenmakura’s novel Garoden which is coming to entertain the masses on OTT this summer.
After generating massive buzz amongst the fans with its engaging trailer, the action-packed web show, directed by Atsushi Ikaria is set to stream on Netflix from May 23rd, allowing viewers to binge-watch it sitting in the comfort of their homes.

Unveiling the thrilling anime’s hard-hitting trailer on social media, Netflix Anime, on April 22nd, took to its official X (previously Twitter) and confirmed that Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf will premiere on Netflix on May 23rd, 2024.
Sharing a post with the fans, the global OTT giant wrote, “Caught between his inner demons and deadly opponents, Juzo Fujimaki is blackmailed into an underground martial arts tournament. Based on the original story “Garouden” by Baku Yumemakura and directed by Atsushi Ikariya. Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf premieres May 23.”

Plot
Juzo Fujimaki is a martial arts trainee and is slowly learning what it takes to be an ace fighter from his teacher Takemiya-Ryu. However, his seemingly normal life turns upside down one day after a thief breaks into his master’s house and gets killed by him unintentionally.
Following the mishap, guilt-stricken Juzo flees from the scene & goes into a hideout only to get captured by his foes several years later.
After catching Juzo, his enemies then compel him to compete against fierce fighters in an underground martial arts tournament. What happens next & how the boy proves his might by standing tall against the challenges is the focus of the animated series.
Cast and Production
In Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf, talented actors including Junya Enoki and Aya Endor, Shunsuke Takeuchi, and Tetsu Inada amongst others have essayed key roles. Yasuo Suda has produced the animation of the action series under the banner of the NAZ company.
