New Delhi: Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr., two of Hollywood’s most famous actors, are the focus of the newest episode of Genius: MLK/X on Nat Geo.

In celebration of Black History Month, the network debuted the fourth season of “Genius,” aptly named Genius: MLK/X, which offers a fresh take on the legacies of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

On Wednesday, Nat Geo revealed that Genius: MLK/X would debut on the network.

Plot

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, two leaders in the civil rights movement, share a range of experiences that began in early life, shaped by authoritative father figures and horrific injustices; these stories continue as they each became the person they aspired to be and the change they wanted to see in the world.

While King was shaped by his early life in the Jim Crow South and his church life, X was shaped by his exposure to the Klan’s relentless brutality, his descent into vice, and his time spent in prison, all of which led him to the Nation of Islam and ultimately to his discovery of his voice at Morehouse and Boston University. The two trailblazing thinkers eventually reached the top of their field.

When and Where to Watch?

On February 6, 2024, the first two episodes of Genius’s eight-episode fourth season will air on Nat Geo, with subsequent streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar, and Hulu. After that, every platform will get two episodes every week.

Showrunner and executive producer Damione Macedon is joined by writers Jeff Stetson and Raphael Jackson Jr. for the pilot episode. Francie Calfo, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Reggie Rock Bythewood, and Undisputed Cinema all served as executive producers.
