“Get Ready for a very difficult time,” Ali Zafar says he predicted Pakistan’s economic crisis

The singer-actor was recently trolled by his Pakistani fans for praising Javed Akhtar after Akhtar made a statement that the culprits of the Mumbai terror attacks are still roaming free in Pakistan.

New Delhi: Pakistani Actor and singer Ali Zafar shared his thoughts about the severe economic crisis Pakistan is dealing with right now.

Pakistan’s political instability has pushed it to the verge of bankruptcy. The crisis that was brewing slowly brewing with the increasing indebtedness, spattered in 2022 with unprecedented inflation in the economy. The prices of essential items and fuel have skyrocketed far beyond the reach of the common man.

A fan on Twitter asked Ali Zafar about his thoughts on the current economic crisis in the country. The actor, who was doing a #AskAZ session replied by saying that he predicted the crisis a long time ago.

He expressed his disappointment, “It is very sad.” He also warned the public to get ready for a ‘very difficult’ time.

Ali Zafar, who has worked in several Bollywood movies like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Kill Dill, Chashme Baddur, etc recently entered the realm of controversies again.

The singer-actor was recently trolled by his Pakistani fans for praising Javed Akhtar. Javed Akhtar made an appearance at Pakistan’s Faiz Film Festival where he bluntly reprimanded Pakistan over the 26/11 attacks. Akhtar made a statement that the culprits of the Mumbai terror attacks are still roaming free in Pakistan.

His remarks have invited criticism from many Pakistani celebrities as well. And Ali Zafar also joined the list after heavy trolling.

Previously, Ali Zafar had performed in front of Javed Akhtar. He expressed his admiration for the legendary poet and lyricist on Twitter.

However, the series of events took a 180° turn when Pakistani users put Ali Zafar on blast for praising the Indian poet who criticized Pakistan.

Ali Zafar gave in to the pressure and took to Instagram to clarify that he had no idea about Javed Akhtar’s statement. He concluded that he is a proud Pakistani and called Akhtar’s remark ‘insensitive.’
