New Delhi: The coming monsoon is bringing some exciting films and web series on OTT. Recently released ‘Ghar Waapsi’ has made a home in everyone’s heart. The web series was released on July 22 on OTT. ‘Ghar Waapsi’ is a series featuring a story of a family and deals with the theme of self-discovery.
The web series follows Shekhar, played by Vishal Vashishtha who is known for his work in TV shows, who is out of work, and in the course of the series, his life changes forever when he moves back to his hometown and finds a road to self-discovery. The show features TVF stars Akaknksha Thakur, Saad Bilgrami and Anushka Kaushik, along with veteran actors Atul Srivastava and Vibha Chibber. Apart from them, the show also stars film actors Suhani Popli, known for Chhapaak’ and ‘Gone Kesh’, and Ajitesh Gupta, known for Ajeeb Daastaans’ and ‘Raat Akeli Hai’.
The series is directed by Ruchir Arun, who has web series like ‘Unpaused: Naya Safar’ and ‘Little’ Things’ credited to his name. Kartik Krishnan, Bharat Misra and Tatsat Pandey have written the show. The cinematography has been done by Aniruddha Patankar who has been the director of photography in web shows like ‘Little Things’, ‘Clutch’, ‘Modern Love: Mumbai’ and many more.
When and where to watch?
The series is streaming from July 22 onwards on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar. It is a six-episode long mini-series in the Hindi language, with subtitles available in English. ‘Ghar Waapsi’ is helmed by the production companies Dice Media and Pocket Aces pictures.
