Gladiator OTT Release: The second part of the mega blockbuster film ‘Gladiator’ is all set to hit the OTT screens on December 25th in Prime Video.

The film received an amazing response from the audience after its release and is now set to stream on the OTT screens.

Plot
Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With his fate turned flippant at the hands of someone else, Lucius must face the ordeals laden in his path.

With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people. He must hide his cowardice and fear and lock up the emotions that cause his vulnerability. To be successful in his pursuit he must be a heart of stone.

Gladiator 2 premiered in Sydney on October 30th, 2024. The film opened with a positive response from the audience and critics.
The audience loved the performance, set design, and the action sequences. The film grossed over grossed $403.3 million worldwide. It was named one of the top ten films of 2024.

The film also received also received 2 nominations at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards. The story of Gladiator was written by David Scarpa and directed by Ridley Scott.

However, reports stated the sequel of the film was discussed as early as June 2001. It was discussed with David Franzoni and John Lagan as the screenwriters.

Over the next few years, Scott offered occasional updates. These updates included the possible involvement of the original film’s lead actor Russell Crowe.

The movie Gladiator II introduces the characters of Caracalla, Geta, and Macrinus to the Gladiator franchise.
