The New York-based singer had earlier released a self-titled solo music album, wherein she had used a combination of folk music from south-east Asia along with western beats. Falguni has also performed with Indian music maestro AR Rahman for her album released in 2007.

Also, Falguni happens to be the only Indian-origin woman to be nominated in the category at the Grammys Awards. She has been nominated in the Best Children’s Music Album category twice.

One of her most popular projects involves the music album called ‘Falu’s Baazar’ that she had created after the birth of her first son. The album is a blend of western as well Asian music styles and the journey of different parts of the world including America and several Asian countries.

Her website says, “The album and live show celebrate the instruments, languages, sights, and humanity of a diverse world. Children learn through song how to introduce themselves in Hindi, obey traffic signals, about animals, counting, spices, South Asian cooking, diversity of cultures, and how to have fun as part of a human train!”.
