Grisaia: Phantom Trigger OTT Release: Grisaia: Phantom Trigger” is an anime adaptation of the visual novel series developed by Frontwing. Set after the events of the “Grisaia” trilogy. The anime adaptation began with a 90-minute film that premiered on March 15, 2019.

It was followed by a sequel titled “Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation Stargazer,” which premiered on November 27, 2020. Both films were produced by Bibury Animation Studios, directed by Tensho, with character designs by Akio Watanabe.

Plot

The story of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger follows a new generation of students at Mihama Academy. They are now repurposed as a training institution for elite operatives under the organization SORD.

Mihama Academy, which once served as a school for troubled youth, has been repurposed into a training institution for a covert government organization called SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development).

This organization is tasked with training elite operatives to combat terrorism and address threats to national security.

These students undertake dangerous missions to protect the nation, blending school life with high-stakes action. Each of these students has a unique background and skill set.

They are trained to become operatives capable of handling dangerous missions. Despite their serious responsibilities, they also experience the camaraderie, challenges, and small joys of school life.

The anime blends high-stakes action with drama and moments of light-hearted humor. As the students undertake dangerous missions, they also grapple with their pasts and personal growth. The series explores themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the blurred lines between justice and violence.
