New Delhi: Netflix is gearing up to launch the digital version of Guntur Kaaram, the highly-anticipated Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu. The film has been well-received since its January 12, 2024, theatrical debut, with critics praising Mahesh Babu’s performance as the sinister ruler Guntur Kaaram.
Starting on February 9, 2024, Guntur Kaaram will be available to watch on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Trivikram Srinivas wrote and directed the film, which follows the protagonist Guntur Kaaram as his life takes a dramatic turn once, he develops feelings for a journalist who is investigating criminal activity in the city.
Plot
The initial part exposes the cracks in a family due to a disagreement between family and business. The young Venkata Ramana’s left eye is pierced by a spark that flies out of the blazing warehouse fire. With his daughter Vasundhara under his care, Venkata Swamy becomes entangled in the murky events, which are also related to his political aspirations.
Decades later, this angry 80-year-old still wants his other grandson, who is from the same caste, to rise to the political ranks unimpeded. The dramatic turn occurs when he approaches Ramana and requests that he sign documents declaring that he would not associate himself in any way with his mother, her fortune, or her political ambitions.

The over-the-top rights for Guntur Kaaram have reportedly been purchased by Netflix now. Beginning on February 9, 2024, the film Guntur Kaaram will be available to watch on the Netflix platform in the languages of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Cast and Crew
In addition to Mahesh Babu, Guntur Kaaram has an impressive ensemble cast that includes Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Sree Leela, Ramya Krishna, Rao Ramesh, and Ajay Ghosh, among several others.
Thaman S composed the score for the film, which was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Naga Vamsi under the banners of Haarika and Hassine Creations.
