New Delhi: When Prabhu Deva is on stage, he emits contagious enthusiasm. He may be directing Dabangg 3 alongside Bollywood’s ‘Bhaijaan’ Salman Khan, but he is best renowned for his dance. Prabhu Deva began working as a child and initially appeared in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Mouna Ragam’ a song. Prabhu Deva is the son of Sundaram Master, a National Award-winning South Indian cinema choreographer. Before starting his choreography for movies, he worked as a background performer.
Prabhu Deva began his professional life at the age of 15 when Kamal Haasan cast him in his first film, Vetri Vizha. After that, he choreographed over 100 films, some of which he also produced. He is also known for giving Michael Jackson’s style a local twist, which has since become his signature appearance. His movement is an art form in and of itself, and several songs have masterfully caught it, particularly Kadhalan and Mr. Romeo.
Here are five fantastic dance performances he choreographed to celebrate his 50th birthday:
1. Kay Sera Sera
Pukaar’s choreography for Kay Sera Sera was unique and unrivaled. This also marked the beginning of his infatuation with modern dance pieces.
2. Muqaala Muqabala
Prabhu Deva pulled it accomplished and made fans go crazy by having Mr. India dance to this great song.
3. Urvasi Urvasi
This song has been reproduced in Bollywood, but the original track and the steps remain overpowered from Prabhu Deva’s career.
4. Go Go Govinda
Prabhu Deva’s Go Go Govinda remains another amazing song. He performed with Sonakshi Sinha in the track.
5. Muqabla (Street Dancer 3D)
Due to the enormous popularity of the initial tune, Prabhu Deva crafted a Muqabala masterpiece.
