New Delhi: Kriti Sanon has been surrounded by rumours of her dating her co-star Prabhas after Varun Dhawan hinted at it in a reality show. The Bollywood actor recently revealed the story behind Varun doing so while they were on a promotional stint for their film ‘Bhediya’. She told that Varun was bored of interviews and decided to spread a rumour about her.
In an interview with BBC Hindi last month, Kriti told that Varun Dhawan was bored of answering the same questions in the interviews so he came up to her and said that he will say that you are with someone. So, she agreed with him but she did not know that he will go on to mention ‘Shehzada’ in an interview and hint at Prabhas in another.
Kriti further mentioned that Varun is a good friend of hers but he sometimes does not realise what they talk about privately cannot be stated in public. She added that she even got congratulatory messages from friends.
The actor said that fan-made edits are so good that even she gets confused if there is something between her and her co-stars.
The rumours of Kriti dating Prabhas began when Varun on national television said that her heart is with someone who is not in Mumbai and is shooting with Deepika Padukone. At the same time, Prabhas was shooting for ‘Project K’ with Deepika in Hyderabad.

She even shared an Instagram story to make it clear that there was no ‘Pyaar or PR’ and these were all rumours spread by Varun.
On the work front, Kriti and Prabhas will be seen in ‘Adipurush’, directed by Om Raut. The film is a re-telling of the mythological epic Ramayana and also stars Saif Ali Khan. ‘Adipurush’ will release in cinemas on June 16.
