‘He slid into my DMs…’: Priyanka Chopra reveals how her relationship with Nick Jonas began

New Delhi: In her latest interview, actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas revealed how Nick Jonas approached her for the first time and how their relationship began. She talked about how she just got out of a complicated relationship and was approached by a person 10 years younger than her. Talking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka said that Nick slid into her DMs on Twitter.

She told that she was in a ‘tumultuous relationship’ back in 2016 and Nick and her common friends wanted them to meet and be together, but it was complicated for them. She said that Nick’s brother Kevin loved ‘Quantico’ and pointed her at a billboard, and asked Nick to call her.

After people compelled him, Nick just DMed her on Twitter and she asked him to rather text her on her number because her social team will read the messages on Twitter. To which he replied, ‘You just want to give me your number.’ She added that she did want his number but did not want to admit it at that time because she was in a relationship with someone.

She was asked if she was a serious monogamous person, to which she replied with a ‘yes’ and added that her past relationships have lasted five to six years on average. She cleared that when Nick texted her and they started chatting, she was at the end of her last relationship.

Talking about the age gap between them, she said that she did not want to engage much at the time as she ‘judged the book by the cover’. She added that she realised that she want to settle down and is done with the fun days, and also realised that Nick was actually a ‘dear old man stuck in a 25-year-old’s body’.

This interview came into the limelight for Priyanka revealing how she was getting sidelined and things got messy in Bollywood, so she decided to find work in the USA.

Priyanka will be next seen in the action-thriller web show ‘Citadel’ alongside Richard Madden. The web series will release on April 28 on Amazon Prime Video.
