The series, which is being directed by the legendary Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has an ensemble cast that includes the extremely skilled Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Manisha Koirala. ‘Courtesans were once queens’ serves as the setting for the plot of the web series.
Against the background of pre-independence India, Heeramandi intriguingly explores the love and betrayal stories of courtesans. Even at first glance, it’s clear that the starring women exude an aura of easy elegance on film, adding to the director’s enticing world-building.
