New Delhi: Actress Sushmita Sen, who is excellent and multifaceted, recently informed us of some happy news. The transgender activist Gauri Sawant will be played by Shusmita in the upcoming web series Taali. Sushmita said in her post that she was “happy and blessed” to bring Gauri’s narrative to the screen and shared a picture on her Instagram account with the first look from the show. The series will be directed by Marathi director Ravi Jadhav.

Gauri Sawant: Who is she?
In 2000, activist Gauri Sawant started the Sakhi Char Chowghi Trust. It is an NGO that offers counselling to transgender individuals and advocates for safe sex. The sixth episode of the series will focus on Sawant’s life, her challenges, and her journey to becoming India’s first transgender mother. In addition, it will emphasise the delicate mother-daughter relationship. The Mid-Day report stated that each day, the show needed between 25 and 50 transgender people.
