‘Hit: The First Case’ on OTT: Know when, where to watch Rajkummar Rao’s crime-thriller

The story of the film revolves around Vikram who is a 32-year-old cop and while he is battling with his own traumatic past, the stakes get high when a girl called Preethi mysteriously disappears in Hyderabad.

New Delhi: If you missed the crime-thriller ‘Hit: The First Case’ in theatres, the film is coming to OTT now. A remake of the 2020 Telugu film ‘HIT’, the film is written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who also directed the original. The film follows a case investigated by Homicide Intervention Team (HIT).

The story of the film revolves around Vikram who is a 32-year-old cop and while he is battling with his own traumatic past, the stakes get high when a girl called Preethi mysteriously disappears in Hyderabad. Now, Vikram has to solve the case at any cost. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead along with Sanjay Narvekar, Aparna Bajpai, Milind Gunaji and others.

While Sailesh wrote the story and the screenplay, the dialogues were penned by Girish Kohli. The cinematography is done by S. Manikandan, who also did the camera work for the original film. The film received mixed reviews and the lead actors Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra stole the show.

When and where to watch?

‘Hit: The First Case’ will stream on Netflix from August 28 onwards. The film will release in Hindi and has a duration of 2 hours and 16 minutes.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore, along with executive and co-producers, under the banners of Dil Raju Productions and T-Series Films. Meanwhile, the sequel to the Telugu film, ‘HIT: The 2nd Case’ is in the pre-production stage and will star Adivi Sesh in the lead.
