New Delhi: The documentary I Am: Céline Dion, which focuses on the legendary Canadian singer, was acquired worldwide rights by Amazon MGM Studios.
This film, directed by the Oscar-nominated Irene Taylor, explores a crucial period in the life of the legendary and immensely popular pop singer Celine Dion. The film further details the famous singer’s diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome.
Along with Sony Music Entertainment Canada, Legacy Recordings, and Feeling Productions Inc., I AM: CELINE DION – the soundtrack – will be released on CD on June 21, 2024, and double vinyl on August 9, 2024. The much-awaited documentary premiere on Prime Video is scheduled for June 25.
About the Documentary
Rather than being a detailed biography of the iconic pop artist, this captures a pivotal point in her career and serves as an overview of time. Through the lens of her struggle with Stiff Person Syndrome, Celine Dion takes viewers on a personal journey in this documentary. The brain and spinal cord are affected by the very unusual Stiff Person Syndrome. The documentary chronicles Dion’s battle with this illness throughout.
The trailer includes interviews with the world-renowned singer as she deals with her illness, as well as archived and behind-the-scenes material from Dion’s career. She can be seen crying as she details the challenges she faces with her health.
Dion says that putting on a concert isn’t hard in the trailer, but she also says that cancelling a show is very tough. Every day, she works extremely hard, but it hasn’t been easy. She wishes she could be with the people. She will resort to trekking if running is not possible. She is determined to keep going as long as she can crawl.
About the Soundtrack
“The Power of Love,” “A New Day Has Come,” “My Heart Will Go On,” and the recent single “I’m Alive” are among the many songs that make up Celine’s 20-song soundtrack. Honouring Celine Dion’s legacy and depicting her incredible tale, this musical journey is the result of a collective effort by a determined team.

Starting June 25, 2024, the documentary I Am: Céline Dion, which is based on the life of the Canadian singer, will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
