New Delhi: Actor Ranvir Shorey on Tuesday dismissed news reports about him being Covid-19 positive ‘again’. Shorey took to his official Twitter handle while sharing a news article of leading news daily and asked for a clarification on the reports that claims that he have caught the virus, while demanding to change the misleading headline to avoid the unnecessary panic.
The action came shortly after an NDTV report claimed that Shorey along with son Haroon have tested positive for Covid-19, post to the father son trip to Goa.
He also said that his son as well as himself have remained asymptomatic and are in isolation. “The wave is real”, he mentioned.
Check out the recent tweet by Ranvir Shorey:
Dear @ndtv, I have not tested positive, YET.
I am fully vaccinated.
My son has tested positive, as sadly there are STILL no vaccines for 10 year olds.
Please correct this misleading headline, and help avoid unnecessary panic by anxious people.
Thanks. https://t.co/zMYoZSyqgX— Ranvir Shorey (@RanvirShorey) December 28, 2021
Confirming his son Haroon’s diagnosis, the actor had mentioned, “My son Haroon and I were on holiday in #Goa, and during the routine RT-PCR testing for the flight back to Mumbai, he has turned out to be #Covid positive. We are both completely asymptomatic and have immediately quarantined until further investigations. The wave is real. #India.”

Hi @RanvirShorey this is BAU for #NDTV. Deliberately making such headlines and then casually apologising for it ?
