IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack OTT Release Date: The Kandahar hijack drama is based on real life events and will soon stream in the OTT platforms from 29th August at 12:30 pm in Netflix.

The gripping series comprise of a six episode series and will give audience a nerve-wracking experince with its compelling story line and performances.

Plot 

The story of the Kandahar hijack is based on a real life tragedy when the passengers and the crew of the plane was hijacked by terrorists over 30,000 above sky.

Thepassengers sitting inside the plane were dying in fear every second as the hijackers were threatening them to kill all if their demands are not met by the government.

The Plane IC-814 was hijacked by the terrorists on December 24, 1999 after it took off from Kathmandu. The plane was carrying over 180 passengers.

All the passengers remained hostage for over 7 days and were released in December 31st when finally the demands of the terrorists were met by the government.

The star cast of the emotional drama features actor Vijay Varma, Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Gulshan Grover and Siddharth Jadhav among others..
