‘If I could come out of drugs, so can you’: Sanjay Dutt urges youth to say ‘no to drugs’

He said, he doesn’t want people to look at drug abusers as a taboo to society. The actor also said that in-order to get out of this addiction, the addict need acceptance, faith and a lot of support.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has urged the youngsters to stay away from drugs. He said that that youth must be high on life instead.

The actor urged the youths to not get trapped in the drug cycle. Giving his own example, he said that if he could come out of drugs, then even they can.

The actor addressed the issue while speaking at an interview to close friend Rahul Mittra, award-winning filmmaker and brand advisor to the 50-year celebrations of Arunachal Pradesh.

He said, he doesn’t want people to look at drug abusers as a taboo to society. The actor also said that in-order to get out of this addiction, the addict need acceptance, faith and a lot of support.

Sanjay Dutt also urged to the families of drug abusers to come out publicly and discuss the matter with family & friends, instead of treating it like a taboo. He said they should also get proper treatment.

He further said that he had recently recovered from cancer and it was possible only because of the  support of family and friends. Similarly drug addiction is also a disease and which needs to be recognized and treated properly.
