New Delhi: After ruling the comedy world on Television, Kapil Sharma is now ready to light the stage with his upcoming stand-up special show ‘I’m Not Done Yet’ on Netflix. The makers have published several promos on their official Instagram account, while the latest promo has created strong laughter among the fans. In the new promo, Kapil reveals how he proposed to his wife Ginni Chatrath over a drunk call and left her shocked. Besides, he thanked the brand of alcohol for giving him the courage to propose his lady love.
In a minute-long video shared by Netflix, Kapil is seen sharing his love story with the audience. The video starts with Kapil calling Ginni his “favourite actress” as they did “theatre together. I used to assign work a lot of work to her. She used to call me and report what happened and how much they had rehearsed today.” He further added that one fine day she called him while he was drunk. “I had Officer’s Choice. I lifted the call and asked her, ‘Do you love me?’ She was shocked. She was wondering how did I get the courage. I am thankful that I didn’t have toddy else the question would have been something else,” said the comedian jokingly.
Turning to his wife Ginni, who was among the audience, Kapil said that what made her fall in love with him. Ginni’s witty reply made the audience laugh out loud. Kapil asked her, “You are from a good and well-educated family. What made you love a scooter owner?” while Ginni in response said, “Maine socha paise wale se toh sabhi pyaar karte hai. Iss gareeb ka bhala hi kardun.”
