Indian 2 OTT Release Date: A few days ago, Netflix India officially acquired the digital streaming rights of Kamal Haasan’s recently released film titled Indian 2.

Now, reports suggesting the date when the Tamil action film will become available for watching online have started emerging on social media, triggering a wave of excitement and joy amongst movie buffs.

Indian 2 Tentative OTT Release Date

As per the latest reports, Indian 2, will make its much-awaited digital debut on Netflix on August 9, 2024. The actioner will land on the streaming giant in multiple languages (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu), allowing it to reach a wider set of audience from across the country.

However, to watch the movie online, fans will have to own or purchase a mobile, basic, standard, or premium subscription to Netflix India’s services.

Written and directed by S Shankar, Indian 2, the sequel to Kamal Haasan’s 1996 blockbuster Indian, arrived on the big screens with high expectations on July 12th, 2024. Unfortunately, the film miserably failed to do justice to its name & received harsh reviews from fans and critics likewise.

Despite being made on a whopping 250 crore budget, the Kamal Haasan starrer only managed to rake in Rs 150 crore from the ticket windows, leaving makers & stakeholders in a significant loss.

However, now with the vigilante action drama ready to test its luck on Netflix, one will have to see what kind of reception it gets from the digital audiences.

With veteran actor Kamal Haasan playing the male lead, Indian 2 stars a set of skilled actors including Rakul Preet Singh, Kalidas Jayaram S. J. Suryah, Nedumudi Venu, Samuthirakani, Brahmanandam Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Uday Mahesh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles.

Udhayanidhi Stalin and Subaskaran Allirajah are the film’s producers who have presented it under the label of Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
