In an interesting development, a Delhi court has granted Jacqueline Fernandez permission to travel abroad without prior court approval. This comes as she faces allegations in a ₹200 crore money laundering case, where Sukesh Chandrasekhar is also an accused. In her application, Fernandez argued that “being an actor of international acclaim, she frequently engages in film shooting, appearances at events, participation in various award functions, etc., which are indispensable to her professional occupation and livelihood. In certain situations, it becomes time-consuming for the accused to seek the court’s approval for travel abroad, as mandated under the terms of bail.”
