Jaladhara Pumpset Since 1962 OTT Release: The Malayalam comedy-drama is all set to arrive on the streaming platforms from 15th September on Jio Cinema. The film is the directorial debut of director Ashish Chinappa.
Plot
The story of the Malayalam Comedy revolves around a pump that gets stolen from a widow’s house. The woman files an FIR in the Police station and the case is sent to the local court.
The pump is stolen by Mani, a man who lives in her neighborhood. But the cops fail to nab him and the case gets a fresh date every time in court. The woman unaware of who stole the pump keeps packing lunch for Mani.
Every time the woman attends the date of court the judge and the cops fail to deliver justice or are unable to find the thief. The case has dragged in the court for many years and the woman waits for justice.
However after the case takes too long in court, the woman decides to take voluntary retirement from her job to focus on the court case. The woman packs lunch for the people in her neighborhood including the defendant Mani.
The film also throws light on the delayed legal system of our country where people only get long waits when they approach the courts to get justice. In the film also, the poor woman fights for the case’s entire life.
Meanwhile, the film is a comeback of actress Sanusha after over 6 years and she has delivered a brilliant performance.

The Malayalam comedy is jointly produced by Baiju Chellamma, Sagar Rajan, Sanitha Sasidharan, and Arya Prithviraj and the star cast features Uravashi, Sanusha, Sagar Rajan, and Johny Antony in pivotal roles.
