While the song’s Animal version was composed by Harshvardhan Rameshwar, the OG composer of Jamal Kudu was Iran’s Khatreh Group. It was sung for the very first time way 73 years back (1950) by Shirazi Choir a  girls’ musical group at Kharzemi girl’s high school. Ever since then, Jamal Kudu became one of the most-played tracks in Iranian weddings & other merry events of that era.

The Lyrics of  the track roughly translate to “Oh my cutie just don’t play with my heart; You are leaving, embarking on a journey; And I’m losing my mind; Oh my beloved, my love”

Meanwhile, Jamal Kudu’s Animal version, sung by has become a mega-hit on social media, receiving over 65 million views with 1,5 million likes on YouTube since its release.
