‘Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega’ Season 2: Makers announce release date in teaser, check details here

The story revolves around a group of small-town young men, led by cousins Sunny and Rocky, running a lucrative phishing operation until a corrupt politician wants in on their scheme and a cop who wants to fight it.

New Delhi: After a great response for season 1, ‘Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega’ is back with the second instalment. The makers have announced the release date on OTT. The web series is based on phishing calls and cybercrime in India, where Jamtara is the hub for the same.

The story revolves around a group of small-town young men, led by cousins Sunny and Rocky, running a lucrative phishing operation until a corrupt politician wants in on their scheme and a cop who wants to fight it. With great performances by Aasif Khan, Udit Arora, Amit Sail, Sparsh Srivastav, Monika Panwar,  Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Aksha Pardasany, the show won the hearts of the audience.

Season 1 was released back in January 2020 while the upcoming season 2 will continue to follow the themes of phishing calls and cybercrime as the problem is just increasing in the country. Directed by National Award winner Soumendra Padhi, the show is written by Nishank Verma and Trishant Srivastava.

When and where to watch?

Season 2 of the show will start streaming on Netflix from September 23 onwards. Netflix made the announcement by sharing a 32 seconds clip which shows phishing calls and a tall banyan tree with several mobile phones hanging from it. A person can be seen sitting and making a fake call about a lucky draw victory.

The music in the web series is composed by Sidhant Mathur, who is known for his work in ‘Budhia Singh: Born to Run’. Produced under the banner of Viacom18 Studios’ Tipping Point Films, the show is coming back to win the hearts again.
