New Delhi: Atlee’s directorial actioner Jawan was released in September 2023 and became the biggest film of Shah Rukh Khan’s acting career. Wreaking havoc at the Box Office right from its very first day, the film ended its dreamy theatrical journey with a whopping collection of Rs 1,151 crore (approx).
While the brilliant performance of Jawan’s star-studded cast including Shah Rukh, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi played a crucial role in making it an All Time Blockbuster affair, huge credit for the same also goes to the man behind its direction, Atlee Kumar.
The ace directed, who was already renowned for his exceptional work in the Southern movie industry, made his Bollywood debut with Jawan and left everyone speechless with the film’s unreal commercial triumph.
Atlee’s Next Movie Bigger Than Jawan?
Now, days after Jawan’s historical run at the ticket window, Atlee has opened up about the film’s success while also spilling the beans about his upcoming ambitious project with Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking in a recently held interview with ABP news, the year-old director spoke about his willingness to work with the Pathan actor once again. He said that if he manages to crack a topic better than Jawan, he will go to Shah Rukh with the same and tell him about it. “If Shah Rukh Likes my idea definitely it will happen” Atlee added.
The director’s statement has excited King Khan’s fans who are now looking to see him working together with the superstar with bated breath.

In the same interview, Atlee also opened up about his memorable experience of working with Shah Rukh while showing the actor with heaps of praise. Talking about his admiration for the 57-year-old megastar, the director said that he adores Shah Rukh’s Aura, and working with him was always one of the wildest dreams that came true with Jawan.
He then also called Shah Rukh the global face of Indian Cinema and revealed how much he loves all his movies including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, DDLJ etc.
Notably, Atlee’s statement came just days after he and Shah Rukh received the prestigious best directed and actor awards respectively in the recently held Dadasaheb Palkhe Awards of 2024.
