Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal alleges Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah makers of sexual harassment

The actor who plays Ms. Roshan Sodhi has reportedly filed a complaint against the makers for sexually harassing her at the workplace.

New Delhi: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) star Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal quit the show and alleged the makers of sexually assaulting her. The actor who plays Ms. Roshan Sodhi has reportedly filed a complaint against the makers for sexually harassing her at the workplace. As per a report by ETimes, she quit shooting for the show in March this year.

Jennifer has filed a complaint against producer Asit Kumarr Modi, executive producer Jatin Bajaj, and Project Head Sohail Ramani. Recently, in an interview, she recalled an incident when she had to leave the workplace early but was asked to get off the sets four times by Sohail Ramani and the executive producer tried to stop her car by standing behind it. She added that Sohail tried to threaten her and called the place ‘male chauvinistic’.

She said that the makers sent her a notice on March 24 stating that they were losing money because of her leaving the shoot. She told that when she reverted them back by alleging sexual harassment, they said that she was trying to extort money.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Sohain Ramani alleged that Jennifer was lying and blackmailing them for ‘cheap publicity’. He also asked why did she not complain to the show’s women’s committee.
