Joker 2 OTT Release: The Crime Drama ‘Joker 2’ is a sequel of the 2019 film ‘Joker’.The Psychological thriller will be arriving in the OTT Platforms on 29th October on Prime Video.
Plot
The story of the film follows the life of a Joker named Arthur Fleck. The film revolves around the highs and lows faced by the Joker, how he performs on stage. From his stage play life to his love life and then trial in Jail.
The Streaming Platform shared the teaser of the film, it begins with the Joker Arthur is waiting for his trial for the crimes committed by him over two years ago. Meanwhile his lawyer also appears in the court
And he prepares to argue that his client Arthur is suffering from dissociative Identity Disorder and his other personality which is of a ‘Joker’ is responsible for the crimes done by him.
Meanwhile the Joker Arthur is sent to the Musical Therapy session where he meets a woman named Lee. The woman confides to Arthur that she also lived in the same neighbourhood and her abusive father died in a car crash.
Lee also expresses her admiration for Arthur and his personality. Gradually lee and arthur comes close. However, one day they decide to attend a film screening where Lee is seen starting a fire.
Lee and Arthur were seen trying to escape. Arthur was then later placed in a solitary confinement and Lee comes and visits him.
The film was released in theaters on October 4th and was premiered at the Venice International Film Festival on September 4, 2024. However, the film did not go well with the critcs.
The Psychological thriller was directed by Todd Phillips and stars Lady Gaga, Joaquin Phoenix, Catherine Keener in pivotal roles.
