Prosenjit Chatterjee, who plays the owner of Roy Talkies in the series, called the project a “tribute to those who made Hindi Cinema.” Jubilee becomes the Bengali actor’s OTT debut as well as his return to Hindi shows after 13 years.

Aditi Rao Hydari, who plays the role of a famed actress in the series, commented that playing Sumitra Kumari has marked her departure from the “sweet roles” she has played in the past. She said that her character, who is a famed star, is an unapologetic lady. Hydari added that she loves the stubbornness of her character.

Aditi exclaimed that playing Sumitra Kumari was liberating, as she is a woman commanding agency in a man’s world.

Earlier, Aparshakti Khurana also spoke about working in a period drama. He said that the biggest challenge for him as a “Punjabi Jumpy Kid” was to slow down and achieve a “Thehrao” (calmness and stability).

The actor also revealed that team Jubilee and Vikramaditya Motwane had treated everyone equally during the shooting. He joked that he has spoiled the star cast by treating them with so much love. “Kya Pata hum doosre set pe jae or wha ye equal treatment na mile,” Khurana added.
