New Delhi: Weekends are to sit and enjoy the cinema at your house. The upcoming weekend of July is as thrilling as the month has been till now. With a variety of films and web series released this week, there is a lot of ‘must watch’ content this weekend.

Here is a list of films and web series to watch on OTT this weekend:

1. Maamanithan

Tamil star and Nation Award winner ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi’s film ‘Maamanithan’ follows the life of an auto driver who becomes a mess due to unexpected issues in the family. The film stars Gayathrie, K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Guru Somasundaram, Anikha Surendran and Shaji Chen, along with Vijay Sethupathi.

‘Maamanithan’ has released on July 15 on the OTT platform ‘Aha Tamil’.

2. Jaadugar

The story revolves around a small-town magician who has no interest in sports but is bound to lead his local team to the final of the state tournament in order to marry the girl he falls in love with. The film features a popular face from OTT, Jitendra Kumar aka Jeetu Bhaiya. The film also stars Arushi Sharma and Rukshar Dhillon.

The movie is written by Biswapati Sarkar and directed by Sameer Saxena, both known faces from TVF. ‘Jaadugar’ is streaming on Netflix from July 15.

3. Persuasion

Persuasion is an adaptation of a famous novel by Jane Austen with the same title. The film stars Dakota Johnson, Richard E. Grant, Henry Golding, Ben Bailey Smith and Cosmo Jarvis. The plot reads, “Eight years after Anne Elliot was persuaded not to marry a dashing man of humble origins, they meet again. Will she seize her second chance at true love?”

The film was released on July 15 on Netflix.

4. Vaashi

After a month from its release date in cinemas, ‘Vaashi’ is set to release on OTT. The film is a courtroom drama that revolves around two talented self-made lawyers who are determined to win a case where they stand on opposing sides.

The Malayalam film stars Keerthy Suresh and Tovino Thomas. The film will release on July 17 on Netflix.

5. Godse

The Telugu film ‘Godse’ follows the titular character played by Satyadev Kancharana. He begins to unravel the system’s hidden agenda to rob the careers and lives of students. This leads to a fight between Godse and the government for justice.

The film stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Adithya Menon and Nassar along with Kancharana.
