New Delhi: On July 24, 2023, Jeon Jung Kook’s solo single ‘Seven,’ featuring Latto, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts and Billboard Global 200 chart. This is Latto’s first No. 1 reach and the first top spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart for a member of BTS as a solo artist.

On the Billboard Global 200, Jason Aldean’s new single “Try That in a Small Town” debuted at position two. After CMT removed the video from circulation after just three days, interest in the song, which was released in May, skyrocketed.

Billboard reports that between July 14 and July 20, ‘Seven’ was the most-streamed and most-downloaded song in the world, with a total of 217.1 million streams and 269,000 downloads sold. Additionally, it debuted at the top of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with 195.8 million streams and 131,000 downloads sold outside the United States.

Additionally, Luminate reports that between its release on July 14 and its midweek 20 peak, “Seven” sold a total of 153,000 digital and CD singles, had an audience of 21.9 million, and had 6.4 million plays on the radio. After Park Jimin’s ‘Like Crazy’ debuted in April at No. 1, ‘Seven’ marks Jung Kook as the second member of BTS to have a Billboard Hot 100 topper.

Among K-pop artists, Jungkook is the first to ever reach the top place on Spotify’s worldwide chart. Spotify’s “Daily Top Song Global” list for the month of July shows that Jungkook’s solo song “Seven” featuring Latto has amassed an incredible 15,995,378 streams. The song has also seen considerable success in India, where it is now one of the top 10 most-played tracks.

About ‘Seven’

Jungkook’s latest album, ‘Seven’ was out in both, ‘Clean’ and ‘Explicit’ versions to satisfy his worldwide audience’s wide range of musical preferences. The success has gone well beyond the Billboard charts, thanks in large part to the accompanying dance video.
