Justin Lin to direct live-action adaptation of ‘One Punch Man’

‘One Punch Man’ follows Saitama, an ordinary man who trains to become a superhero who can defeat his enemies with just one punch.

New Delhi: Popular anime ‘One Punch Man’ is being made into a live-action film. The film is being made by the ‘Fast and Furious’ director Justin Lin along with the scriptwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.

Arad Productions, who has produced Spider-Man: Homecoming and the live-action Ghost in the Shell, will be involved as producers in the project. According to a report by http://deadline.com, the live-action film is being produced under Sony. Along with Arad Productions, Justin Lin will also be the producer of the film.

 

About ‘One Punch Man’

‘One Punch Man’ was initially a webcomic created by a Japanese artist by the name ONE in 2009. It became popular and in 2012,  Shueisha published it in its Tonari no Young Jump Next with illustrations by Yusuke Murata along with ONE. The manga became extremely popular and was converted into an anime series. The anime series was produced first by Madhouse and then J.C. Staff produced it in 2019. Recently, its video game and mobile game were also launched.

‘One Punch Man’ follows Saitama, an ordinary man who trains to become a superhero who can defeat his enemies with just one punch. Soon Saitama gets bored with his power. Later, he is seen joining the Hero Association, which employs superhumans to fight evil, in the hope of finding a challenging enemy for himself.
