New Delhi: Malayalam action thriller Kaduva became a massive hit as it rolled out in theatres on July 7 this month, and it seems that the film is set for its much-awaited over-the-top (OTT) premiere soon enough.
Kaduva features actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, with Vivek Oberoi starring in the supporting role in the movie set in early 90s. The plot of the film revolves around the rivalries between a local gangster and a top police official.

The movie is set to arrive on OTT giant Amazon Prime Video in the upcoming month of August 2022. In tweet from its official handle, the platform informed, “a tale that will transport you to a 90s rivalry quest. Kaduva On Prime, Aug 4”.

Other cast and languages:
Shaji Kailas directorial further stars Samyuktha Menon in the female lead opposite Sukumaran. The movie is set to release in a total of five languages including Hindi and Tamil.
When asked about the OTT release of the film, lead actor Sukumaran expressed excitement stating, “Malayalam cinema has received so much love from audiences across the globe and I am sure Kaduva will receive the same love and appreciation upon its release on Prime Video”, as quoted by The Indian Express.

Meanwhile, the film had earlier landed in soup over one of the dialogues in it, over which several complaints were filed. Prithviraj Sukumaran had to issue an apology later.
