New Delhi: Not even a month after actress Rashmika Mandanna’s & Katrina Kaif’s Deep fake video caused a huge outcry in the country, another digitally morphed video of renowned actress and Kajol has started doing rounds on social media.
In the highly objectionable video, a women appearing to be the Dilwale actress is seen changing clothes right in front of the camera. However, on little inspection, one can clearly make out that the girl seen in the clip is not Kajol but another woman with Kajol’s face attached to her body using Artificial intelligence (AI).
Later, it was revealed that the woman in the viral video with Kajol’s face morphed on her body is an English internet influencer, Rosie Been. She posted the original video on June 5 2023 while changing clothes on her TikTok account following a popular social media trend ‘Get ready with me.’

Viral video showing Kajol changing clothes is a Deepfake
In the said video, Influencer Rosie’s face was replaced with the Indian actress’s face by the person who made it viral on the internet. Notably, the deepfake of the actress was uploaded on social media several days back in August but it only went viral recently after Rashmika Mandanna’s AI-altered video made headlines a few days back.
Kajol’s Deepfake video has once again re-ignited the massive uproar on social media and people are getting more and more concerned about morphed videos of popular Indian actresses coming out one after another. What’s even more alarming is that the deepfake of the video was created with such perfection that it made many believe that the girl changing clothes in the clip is indeed Kajol until Boomlive and various other websites clarified its reality.

For those who don’t know, Deepfake videos are created using advanced Artificial intelligence tools which have the capability of replacing a person’s face with someone else’s face in videos and pictures with near perfection.
Katrina Kaif & Rashmika Mandanna’s fell victim to deepfake
Previously, another fake video of Tiger 3 actress Katrina Kaif also went viral on the internet. In the clip, taken from Tiger 3’s scene where the actress fights off Hollywood stuntwomen clad in a white towel, Katarina’s towel was replaced with a White top and bottom.
Likewise, Rashmika Mandanna’s digitally altered video also went viral on social media a few weeks back. The video showed a woman with the Pushpa actress’ face walking into an elevator wearing a tight revealing skin wear. While the video tricked many into believing that the girl in the clip was Rashmika, several users noted that it was not her and the video was a fake morphed video.

As the morphed video went viral, thousands of people including celebrities and politicians came forward and condemned it while demanding strict action against those behind it. Bollywood’s Big-B Amitabh Bachchan was also one of those people who raised concern about the deep fake video as he took to his Twitter and demanded legal action against the culprit. Later, Rashmika herself reacted to the whole deepfake controversy and called it “extremely scary. ”
Following that, Delhi Police also swung into action and interrogated a Bihar-based suspect concerning the case and registered an FIR against unknown accused persons.
