Kanappa OTT Release Date: Vishnu Manchu and Mohanlal’s devotional movie, Kannappa, was released on OTT platforms on June 27th, 2025.

Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Mukesh Kumar Singh, the Telugu thriller, despite offering an unconventional storyline to the audiences, failed to strike a chord with the viewers and ended its Box office journey as a commercial disappointment. Prepared with a budget of Rs 200 crores, the movie only managed to amass a disappointing sum of Rs 31.96 crores before wrapping up its business.

However, despite Kanappa’s forgettable run on the big screens, the film’s buzz amongst the fans hasn’t died down as they are now eagerly waiting for it to make its way on the OTT screens. Here’s all that we know about the same.

When and where to watch Kannappa online on OTT? 

Currently, no official confirmation about Kannappa’s OTT premiere and streaming platform has been shared by its makers in the public domain. However, during one of the promotional events of the movie, it was announced that the Vishnu Manchu starrer will not hit the digital screens for a period of 10 months since its release on the big screens. This makes it obvious that fans will not get the chance to enjoy Kannappa from the comfort of their homes, at least not before September 2025.

It will now be interesting to see when the filmmakers reveal the name of the platform where the film will make its OTT debut in the coming months.

Cast and Production

Besides Vishnu Manchu and Mohanlal, Kannapa also features Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukhundhan, Mohan Babu, and R. Sarathkumar amongst others as a part of its main cast. Mohan Babu has produced the movie under the banner of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory.
