New Delhi: Actor Suriya Sivakumar released the title and the poster of his upcoming film. Suriya42 has been titled ‘Kanguva’ and stars Disha Patani opposite a Tamil actor. The makers shared a motion poster of the film, giving an insight into the action thriller which will be a war film revolving around a warrior.
The motion poster shows an eagle and a dog and reveals a masked warrior sitting on his horse. As the video moves ahead, the warrior’s large army is revealed as the title of the film appears on the screen. The title ‘Kanguva’ means a man with a power like fire.

Apart from Suriya and Disha, the film will also Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Kovai Sarala. While there were speculations of Mrunal Thakur being a part of the project, the makers have not yet made any announcement in that regard. Directed by Siva, the plot of the film revolves around a warrior who died of a disease and a woman in the present day researching about it. Produced by Green Studios, ‘Kanguva’ has popular music composer Devi Sri Prasad on board.
The film is written by Adi Narayana and Siva while the dialogues have been penned by Madhan Karky. ‘Kanguva’ will hit the theatres in 2024 and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

On the work front, Suriya also has Vetrimaaran’s ‘Vaadivasal’ in the pipeline and Disha Patani, who is making her Tamil film debut, will also be seen in ‘Yodha’ alongside Sidharth Malhotra Raashi Khanna, and in ‘Project K’ with a star cast of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
