New Delhi: In a heart-wrenching incident that has sent shockwaves through the Kannada film industry, the wife of renowned actor Vijay Raghavendra, Spandana, has tragically passed away due to a heart attack. Spandana, who was also known as Dance Karnataka Dance judge, was in Bangkok when the unfortunate incident occurred, leaving the industry and fans in mourning.
Spandana, the wife of Sandalwood star Vijay Raghavendra, was on vacation in Bangkok when she suddenly suffered a heart attack. Reports indicate that she had been experiencing chest pain and was promptly admitted to a hospital. Despite the immediate medical attention, her condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to her untimely demise.
Her body is expected to be repatriated to Bangalore, with plans for the final rites to be conducted tomorrow, August 8. Spandana’s sudden passing has cast a shadow over the couple’s upcoming wedding anniversary, scheduled for just a few days after her tragic departure. She was the daughter of retired Assistant Commissioner of Police B. K. Shivaram and shared a son named Shourya with Vijay Raghavendra.
Vijay Raghavendra himself is currently in Bangalore. He was slated to participate in promotional activities for his forthcoming film, “Kadda.” However, given the overwhelming circumstances, all professional commitments have understandably been put on hold as the grieving actor copes with the loss of his beloved wife.
This unfortunate event brings back memories of another heartrending loss for the family. In October 2021, Vijay Raghavendra’s cousin and celebrated actor Puneeth Rajkumar also passed away due to a heart attack. The recurrence of such a tragedy underscores the fragility of life and the emotional challenges faced by the film industry.
