Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Freddy’ to directly release on OTT, check where to watch this romantic thriller

New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film ‘Freddy’ is set to release directly on an OTT platform. The suspense thriller directed by Shashanka Ghosh stars Alaya F and Jennifer Piccinato along with Aaryan. The film is produced under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, The Vermillion World and Northern Lights Films, and will be released on Disney+ Hotstar.

The OTT platform tweeted and made the announcement. However, the release date of the film has not been announced as of now. Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content in Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network, expressed his happiness to have Kartik Aaryan’s film on the OTT platform. After the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on Disney+ Hotstar, the actor and the Disney+ team are excited to work together again.

The plot of the film is not known, but the makers have revealed that the film will have some unpredictable twists and turns and the romantic thriller revolves around the themes of love and obsession.

The story and the screenplay of the film are written by Parveez Sheikh, who is credited with films like ‘Queen’ and Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, while dialogues are penned by Aseem Arrora, who also wrote the dialogues for ‘Ek Villian Returns’. The cinematography in the film is done by Ayananka Bose while the music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty.

Kartik Aaryan also shared that ‘Freddy’ is a kind of film he has not done before and he is hoping that the audience will love his new avatar. After ‘Dhamaka’ on Netflix, this will be Kartik’s second film to directly release on OTT.
