Kevin James got his start doing stand-up comedy on Long Island. His comedy, The King of Queens, was developed after he inked a contract with a network after being noticed at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival. James was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series during the show’s nine seasons on CBS, where he also served as an executive producer.

With Comedy Central’s Sweat the Small Stuff, James took his stand-up comedy show to the small screen for one hour. His critically acclaimed second Netflix comedy special, Never Don’t Give Up, debuted to rave reviews.

James first appeared in a feature picture, Hitch, with Will Smith, for Columbia Pictures.
