Plot

Review

The coming-of-age drama Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, directed by newcomer Arjun Varain Singh, delves into the intricate dynamics of friendships and relationships, capturing the essence of Gen Z that embraces and sometimes questions the current situation. It alludes to the harmful cancel culture that has spread like wildfire on social media.

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is a minimalistic film. Although there isn’t a tonne of storyline in the picture, what moves the story ahead are the individuals and the paths they take, both alone and together. And the film manages to hold your attention the whole way through even if there aren’t any major plot points. The authors deserve praise for the story’s consistent momentum.

Although the film’s score isn’t very outstanding, the songs are expertly woven into the story.

A few of the actors in the film also turn in solid turns. To say that Ananya Panday gives her greatest performance as Ahana is an understatement. The roles of Imaad, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Neil, played by Adarsh Gourav, are portrayed with great nuance and authenticity by both actors.

In general, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan will make you feel like you’re seeing a personal drama unfold on film, but there are other moments when it’s more like you’re watching a group of friends conversing, relaxing, and having a good time in your living room with a bunch of beer bottles.
