Khufiya OTT Twitter review: Netizens opinion divided on spy-thriller

Tabu, at her usual best, brings Krishna Mehra alive via her ‘khufiya’ look. Gabbi, the most subtle of the three, has stepped up the game to be people’s favourite inspiration.

New Delhi: Khufiya, a film that has been eagerly anticipated by fans, was made available on Netflix for the first time on October 6 after the filmmakers first piqued their interest with an interesting trailer. Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi feature as the main characters in the suspenseful espionage thriller that was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

In addition to them, Ashish Vidyarthi and Azmeri Haque Badhon are also featured in the movie. Amar Bhushan’s book Escape to Nowhere, which he penned while working as the chief of R&AW’s Counter Espionage Unit, was the source of inspiration for the movie Khufiya, which is based on actual events.

Farhad Ahmed Dehlvi’s evocative cinematography gives the film a tight embrace, evoking exactly the perfect amount of interest in some scenes.

Everybody knows that Vishal Bhardwaj develops his female characters with a little extra fire, and this movie is a perfect illustration of that. Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Azmeri Haque Badhon are a powerhouse acting trio that carry the picture.
