It is being noted that when a Salman Khan film is released on Eid, it takes the box office by storm. However, advance bookings for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan have been disappointing thus far.

According to early estimations, the Salman Khan-starrer began slowly and is expected to earn Rs 12.5 crore on day one. The film failed to outperform Shah Rukh Khan’s spectacular comeback film Pathaan, which broke box office records worldwide.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan allegedly had a morning occupancy of 10:39% and an afternoon occupancy of 13.44% after being released on 4500 screens across the country. KKBKKJ will also be shown on over 1200 screens in other countries. According to boxofficeindia.com, the movie will be the fourth highest-grossing film since the epidemic, behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Bhumika Chawla, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Gill, and Palak Tiwari appear in the film, which is directed by Farhad Samji. It has been released on April 21st in theatres. Shenaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari make their Bollywood debuts in the film as well.

The film has gotten mixed reactions. “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is a film for Salman Khan fans,” says our in-house critic. It’s a no-brainer, full of maar-dhaar, naach-gaana, and dance-shance wala entertainment. There is a tale if you look very attentively. And finding it is like finding the Almighty himself/herself. But, as is typical of Bhaijaan, KKBKKJ dil mein aata hai, samajh mein nahi.
