New Delhi: Cricketer KL Rahul and actor Athiya Shetty tied the knot on January 23 in a private wedding at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. The couple took on Instagram to share some adorable pictures from their ‘haldi’ ceremony. The pictures show them covered in turmeric paste and petals as they share a laugh, holding each other in their arms.

Sharing the pictures, they both wrote, “Sukh”, which translates to happiness.

In one of the pictures shared by Athiya, she can be seen applying turmeric paste to her brother Ahan Shetty’s face. While one of the pictures shared by the batter shows the customary tearing of the shirt.

The couple received a lot of love and blessings from both Bollywood and cricket fraternities in the comment section. Actors, including Samatha Prabhu, Diana Penty, Aditya Seal and others shared their love while Shheethal Utthappa and Fabien Allen were among the wishers from the cricket world.

The couple was reportedly dating for four years before taking their wedding vows in presence of their close ones. They shared the pictures from their wedding which went viral on the internet. Their wedding has been one of the most talked-about star weddings recently.

Actor Suniel Shetty was the one who broke the news of the wedding to the photographers and paparazzi. He also stated that their wedding reception will be held after this year’s IPL season.
