Kottukkaali OTT release date: P. S Vinothraj’s recently released Tamil movie Kottukkaali, also popular as The Adamant Girl, received massive acclaim from critics as well as the general public.
However, despite the positive feedback, the hard-hitting drama, starring Soori and Anna Ben in leading roles, failed to do anything remarkable at the ticket windows as its theatrical run clashed with Vaazhai which eventually emerged as a massive hit at the Box Office.
Nevertheless, moving ahead, the filmmakers have now decided to roll out Kottukkali on a renowned streaming platform where the film will be exclusively accessible to overseas viewers.

Simply South, a streamer that is known for providing quality South Indian entertainment to fans residing outside India, is all set to roll out Kottukkaali on its platform from September 27, 2024.

About the Film
After Meena’s family refuses to let her marry the lower-caste guy she loves, the woman goes completely silent, compelling her parents to think that she is possessed by some otherworldly force. To deal with the same, they decide to take Meena to an exorcist and embark on a road trip journey accompanied by her eternal uncle Paandi, a few family friends, and relatives.
What unfolds next and how the devastated lady continues to use her silence as a weapon to express her anger and rebellion is the remaining story of the movie.
Cast and Production
In its cast, Kottukkaali features several talented actors including Jawahar Sakthi, Soori, Anna Ben, Poobalam Pragatheeswaran, Sai Abinaya, and Mullaiyarasi in key roles.
The road trip drama is produced by Kalai Arasu and Sivakarthikeyan who have bankrolled it under SK Productions and The Little Wave Productions’ banners.
