New Delhi: Renowned Kannada actor Naveen Shankar arrived on the big screens with his much-hyped flick Kshetrapati back in August 2023.
At the Box Office, the movie’s performance remained rather average throughout its theatrical run & although the fans hailed its lead actor Naveen for his brilliant acting, the feature film failed to make itself a commercial hit by the end of its theatrical run.
Nonetheless, despite Kshetrapati’s underwhelming collections at the BO, its craze among Kannada movie enthusiasts didn’t die down as they kept on waiting for its arrival on the digital platform with bated breath or a long time.
However, the makers of Kshetrapati kept struggling to find a digital platform for their movie’s release but failed to do the same for several months. This resulted in the Naveen Shankar’s starrer’s OTT release getting postponed for several months, causing its buzz & anticipation amongst film enthusiasts to fade away over time.
Now, after over a year since Kshetrapati’s cinematical release, the moviemakers have finally managed to crack a deal for its digital rights with leading platform Amazon Prime Video where the movie is set to make its OTT debut in this month.

The Makers of the movie have officially announced that Kshetrapati will start streaming on OTT Platform Amazon Prime Video from 16 February onwards. However, instead of being included with the Amazon Prime subscription, the movie will be made available on the digital portal in the old-school pay-per-view format.
Kshetrapati’s story, cast & production
Directed by Shrikant Katagi, Kshetrapati tells the tale of a youthful engineering student Basavaraj Hadimani whose world comes crashing down on him when his farmer father commits suicide after getting tortured by evil corrupt powers.
This saddening incident then compels Basavaraj to head back to his village where he learns that his father was not the only one who fell victim to these extremely corrupt affluent individuals. How he pledges to fight for justice & saves the interest of his village’s fellow farmers from the corrupt corporate forces is the remaining story of the movie.
In its skilled cast, Kshetrapati features several talented actors including Naveen Shankar, Archana Jois, Rahul Ainapur, and Harsh Arjun in key roles. It was released on the big screens with the banner of Ashraga Creations on August 18, 2023.
