New Delhi: Another song from Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming flick ‘Selfiee’ was released by Play Desi Music Factory. ‘Kudi Chamkeeli’ starring Akshay and Diana Penty is sung, composed and penned by desi hip-hopper Yo Yo Honey Singh. The party number has been produced just for promotional purposes and will not feature in the film.
Akshay can be seen wearing colourful outfits in the music video, while Diana goes all mirrors and glitters to literally shine on the dance floor. Not just hitting the dance floors, the lead couple can also be seen riding in and on the car. Yo Yo Honey Singh can also be seen in the video, wooing women like in many of his music videos.
‘Kudi Chamkeeli’ is more of a mellow dance number and the choreography has been done by Prince Gupta. Yo Yo Honey Singh has also mixed and mastered the song. While fans found the old Yo Yo Honey Singh vibe in the song, it also has a reference from his hit number ‘Desi Kalaakar’.
The song marks another collaboration between Yo Yo Honey Singh and Akshay Kumar after giving chartbusters like ‘Party All Night’, ‘Lonely’, and ‘Alcoholic’.
The film stars Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead roles. Directed by Raj Mehta, ‘Selfiee’ is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving Licence’. The story revolves around a clash between a film star and an RTO officer, who happens to be his fan.
The film will hit the theatres on February 24.
