New Delhi: The Telugu film Kushi had a good start at the Indian box office on Friday, boosted in no little part by the fact that Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda returned with a love picture that received rave reviews upon its release.

Kushi has done well internationally, and the extra day off will help it even more here in the United States.
The film’s international debut brought in $475,000, more than double its domestic total. Profits of USD 820,000 have been earned thus far, with USD 350,000 coming in on Friday. With the United States celebrating Labor Day on Monday, it’s likely that Sunday will be stable this week. Over $1.80 million might be made over the four-day weekend in the United States.

About the film ‘Kushi’
The film chronicles the romance that develops between Vijay’s character Viplav and Samantha’s Aaradhya when each is on a solo trip to Kashmir. However, their families intervene to force them apart. The couple decides to be married in order to prove their families incorrect, but their happiness together is threatened as they begin to have disagreements.
Kushi, which Shiva Nirvana wrote and directed, and which Mythri Movie Makers produced, has also been dubbed into Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
