New Delhi: Joining Eva Longoria in the cast of the forthcoming comedy-drama series Land of Women are Carmen Maura, Victoria Bazua, Santiago Cabrera, and many more. Sandra Barneda’s groundbreaking book La Tierra de las Mujeres, which she released a decade ago, is the inspiration for the six-part series.
Gal Scott, played by Eva Longoria, is an affluent New Yorker whose life takes a dramatic turn when her husband Fred, played by James Purefoy, implicates the family in a 15-million-dollar case of financial misconduct.
The first two episodes will be released on June 26 on Apple TV+ as the launch of the series. Don’t skip this series as an absolutely riveting viewing experience awaits you in Eva Longoria’s comedy series.
1. You Mustn’t Miss Such an Entertaining Plot
The protagonist, Gala, is a middle-aged lady who has a happy life with her husband, daughter, and other privileged individuals until she finds out that her husband borrowed $15 million from two influential people and never repaid them. At a party, two men threaten Gala, telling her that her kid will be taken if she does not pay within 24 hours. Her actions in rescuing her daughter and protecting her family are the central plot points of the series.
Gala Scott, played by Eva Longoria, is a privileged New Yorker whose husband wrecks her idyllic existence in the Land of Women. As a result of the danger, Gala, her elderly mother, and their teenage daughter must escape the city.
The three of them take sanctuary in a picturesque northern Spanish wine town, the same one from which Gala’s mother had escaped fifty years before. They find that small-town life isn’t without its difficulties as they attempt to rebuild their lives while keeping their identities disguised. It becomes more difficult for them to maintain their anonymity as word gets out and long-buried family truths come to light.
