“Life never tells you that this is going to be the last time”: Late comedian Raju’s daughter Antara speaks about her dad

Antara, his daughter, now has stated that what actually occurred to her father was unintentional and that gyms should not be held responsible.

New Delhi: Raju Srivastava had a cardiac arrest while exercising at the gym on August 10. Leading up to the incident, the comedian had a heart problem. Raju Srivastava died on September 21 after spending days in hospitalization at AIIMS Delhi.

Antara, his daughter, now has stated that what actually occurred to her father was unintentional and that gyms should not be held responsible.

In a recent interview, Antara spoke about her dad’s gym routine. According to her, in whatever instance, Raju would try and stick to his gym routine. He was completely loyal and conscious regarding his physical fitness. He was the motivator of our family in terms of health and exercise. The gym should not be blamed for whatever happened.

Recalling her last words with her dad late comedian Raju Srivastav, she said, no one can predict if this is going to be the last time. According to her, Raju was out of town for 10 days, he was busy shooting for Laughter Champion. Antara had her birthday and everyone in the family was present at the celebration. Few days after Raju headed for an outstation concerning his work.

The day the incident happened and Antara received a call regarding this news, she initially thought her Chachu(Uncle) had a heart attack and not her dad. Later she got to know that she misheard the name Raju as Kaju (Chachu’s name). She even thought the news of her father suffered from a heart attack was just a rumor.

Raju Srivastava had experienced severe significant brain damage during the heart attack. He had been in intensive care and had been on ventilator support for several days. He was treated by doctors from the AIIMS Cardiology and Emergency Department teams.

According to the reports, Srivastava went into cardiac arrest while exercising at the gym and was transported to the hospital by his instructor. CPR was applied twice to the comedian in order to resurrect his heart. He died on September 21st, at the age of 58.
