Kangana Ranaut will mark her OTT debut new reality show, wherein 16 celebrities will be locked together in two prisons for a span of 72 days

New Delhi: As movie theatres and multiplexes in various parts of the country are still shut amidst the uncertainty owing to the coronavirus pandemic, filmmakers are now turning to digital platforms to get their movies released.

The over-the-top platforms have been at the rescue of entertainment lovers since the very beginning of the ongoing pandemic, also delivering out-of-box content to the audiences in the form of web series and docuseries.

Movies, web series arriving on OTT this week: 

1. The Fame Game

Platform – Netflix

Release date – February 25

Ace actor Madhuri Dixit will mark her OTT debut with the upcoming web series ‘The Fame Game’, portraying the character of famous celeb figure Anamika Anand, who goes missing on one fine day without a trace of her. Her seem-to-be perfect life comes falling down following a police investigation regarding her disappearance.



2. Love Hostel

Platform – Zee5

Release date – February 25

Shanker Raman directorial romantic-crime drama is a tale of two young lovers who fight power, money, bloodshed, and all other odds for the sake of their love. The series features Sanya Malhotra, Vikrant Massey, and Bobby Deol in the lead roles.



3. Vikings: Valhalla

Platform – Netflix

Release date – February 25

Sequel to the popular historical 2013-2020 drama Vikings, the plot of the series is set 100 years after the events of the first series, narrates the saga of some of the best-known Norsemen in the history of the world. The much-awaited series features Sam Corlett, Leo Suter, and Frida Gustavsson in the lead roles.



4. Lock Upp

Platform – Alt Balaji/ MX Player

Release date – February 27

Kangana Ranaut is all set to mark her digital debut with Ekta Kapoor’s new reality show Lock Upp, wherein 16 celebrities will be locked together in two prisons for a span of 72 days. The contestants will have to struggle to have the basic amenities with the celebrity jailer on the show.



5. Super Pumped

Platform – Voot

Release date – February 28

The anthology drama is based on Mike Isaac’s 2019 nonfiction book of the same name, which revolves around rise and fall of former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. The series features Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kyle Chandler, and Elisabeth Shue in the lead roles.
